Score tiers
Tiers are fixed score bands, the same for every media type, sector and platform. 70 and above is green, 40–69 amber, below 40 red; on the video scene timeline they read Good, Medium and Low. They are not calculated from your comparison group.
What it is
Foresight colours scores so you can judge them at a glance. The colour is a tier: a fixed band of the 0–100 score.
If you've seen labels like good / average / poor, they correspond to these colour bands.
| Score | Colour | Label on video scenes |
|---|---|---|
| 70 and above | Green | Good |
| 40 to 69 | Amber | Medium |
| Below 40 | Red | Low |
How it works
- Fixed cut-offs. The bands are the same for every media type, sector and platform. They are not recalculated for your comparison group.
- On the number you see. The band is decided on the rounded score shown on screen, so a displayed 70 is always green.
- Where you see them. Tier colours appear only on the E-Score (cards, lists, Compare, the media viewer, reports) and on the scene timeline of videos. The other 0–100 KPIs (Emotional Engagement, Attention, Clarity, Focus, Spread) have no colour bands, in the app or in reports. In the app's metrics panel, the "+N / −N" chips are coloured by whether you are above or below the group average, which is a different thing.
Exceptions
- Mental Demand uses an optimal zone instead: 25–75 is Optimal, below 25 is Too low, above 75 is Too high. The middle is best, because content can be too bare as well as too busy.
- Valence has no tiers. It is shown as negative, neutral or positive tone.
Tiers vs benchmarks
Tiers and the comparison value answer different questions:
- The tier says how strong the score is in absolute terms. Because scores are rankings against the reference library, the green band roughly means "ranks in the top part of the library".
- The "+N / −N" chip says how the score compares with the average of the group you chose.
A creative can be above its group average and still amber, or below it and still green. For example, if creatives in your group have an average E-Score of 48, an E-Score of 62 shows "+14" but stays amber.
Because most component scores are rankings, an average creative lands in the middle (amber) band, not at 70.
