What changes when you pick a platform
A platform makes Foresight simulate attention on your creative inside the app's screen, so the attention KPIs and the E-Score can move. For an image it also removes the creative-type and sector comparison. Emotion results shift only slightly, from a small, fixed contribution of the platform's interface. Formulas, the reference library and the colour bands do not change. Campaign objectives change only the written insights.
What changes
1. The attention simulation runs inside the app's screen. Foresight places your creative in a realistic mobile screen of the chosen app, at the size and position it would have there, and simulates attention on the whole screen. The app interface (status bar, buttons, captions, call-to-action bar) is shown in a simplified, softened form, but it still takes up part of the screen and competes for the eye. If your creative's shape does not match the space the app gives it, it is scaled down to fit, without cropping, and the empty space is filled with the app's background colour.
As a result, these can move:
- the attention KPIs: Focus, Spread, Clarity, Mental Demand and Attention;
- the E-Score, mostly through Attention;
- the emotion results, slightly: a small, fixed contribution from the platform's own interface is added to the emotions predicted on your original file;
- the attention visuals: heatmap, fogmap and gaze plot are drawn on the framed view.
2. For images, the comparison group goes. An image analysed on a platform has no creative-type or sector choice, so no comparison value (markers, "+N / −N" chips) is shown. Videos show no comparison value with or without a platform. See Platforms and benchmarks.
3. For videos, the AI insights take the platform into account, for example its format conventions, when writing recommendations.
What does not change
- How each KPI is calculated. The models and formulas are the same for every platform.
- The reference library your scores are positioned against: creatives of the same media type. It is never narrowed to the platform. Reference creatives are analysed on their own, without a platform frame.
- The colour bands: green 70 and above, amber 40–69, red below 40 (Good / Medium / Low on video scenes), and the 25–75 optimal zone for Mental Demand. They are the same for every platform.
Campaign objectives change only the written insights
The objective step ("What is the goal of this creative?": Brand building, Consideration, Conversion, Trust, or no specific objective) works differently from the platform. It tells Foresight's AI what the creative is meant to achieve, so the written analysis and recommendations are framed around that goal. It does not change any score, comparison value or colour band: the same creative gets the same numbers whatever objective you pick. See Campaign objectives.
Creative type and sector are separate settings
Creative type and sector choose the comparison group for images. They have no effect on how the creative is framed. No comparison group combines a platform with a creative type or sector: picking a platform for an image clears them. The setup only offers combinations that have a benchmark.
