Platforms (frameworks)
You can tell Foresight where your creative will run, Instagram, Facebook or X for images and videos, or TikTok for videos, and it simulates attention on the creative inside that app's screen. No comparison value is shown for a creative analysed on a platform. "No platform" analyses the creative on its own.
What it is
When you start an analysis, the "Where will people see it?" step lets you choose a Platform. Customers often call this the "framework". It is a setup choice, not a score: it tells Foresight where people will see your creative.
| Platform | Images | Videos | What Foresight shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yes | Yes | Your creative as a square post in the feed | |
| Yes | Yes | Your creative as a square post in the feed | |
| X | Yes | Yes | Your creative as a square post in the timeline |
| TikTok | n/a | Yes | Your video full-screen in the For You feed |
| No platform | Yes | Yes | Your creative on its own, full frame |
What a platform does
When you pick a platform, Foresight places your creative inside a realistic mobile screen of that app, at the size and position it would have there, and simulates where people look on that whole screen. The setup shows a live preview of your creative inside the chosen frame. An image analysed on a platform has no creative-type or sector comparison, and videos show no comparison value with or without a platform; scores are still positioned against the reference library.
Emotion is measured on your original file; the platform adds only a small, fixed contribution from its own interface, so emotional results shift slightly at most. The full list is on What changes when you pick a platform.
No platform
Choose "No platform: analyse the creative on its own" to measure the creative on its own, at full size. This is the most comparable setting across creatives, the right choice when the creative will run in several placements, and the baseline to use when you want to see what a platform frame does. It is also the only setting where an image can be compared with a creative type and sector group.
One placement per platform
Each platform has one simulated placement: the feed or post layout for Instagram, Facebook and X, and the full-screen For You feed for TikTok. Stories, reels, carousels and pre-roll are not simulated.
YouTube is not a platform option.
